Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello there!

On the Thanksgiving weekend, we had a relaxing walky
on the trail along the Humber River, west of the city.

It's the time adult salmons returns to the river to spawn the eggs.
Many salmons jumped out from the water and
tried really hard to make their way to upsteam in the half
'man-made' envirment.

We saw two made it and human spectators applaused!
We didn't take pictures but many 'mean' humans tried to catch the salmons
in the shallow water. :( :(
Mom didn't think it was fair!

It was a very warm weekend and
humans and doggies weren't the only ones who wanted to feel some warm fresh air.

.... but Ms Racoon!

All humans left her alone after taking some photos.

And this brave racoon was approaching me!

MMmmm... shall I say Hello closely?

Now it's time to take a nap in the car.

Same evening, The chef cooked a wonderful dinner.
This is Tuna steak with tomatoes, garlic and fresh basil.

There is a big chunk of tuna under chopped tomatoes.
Mom, the assistant, prepared some roasted veggies.

Butternut squash with sage and cinnamon turned out very well.

It was not a big dinner but we enjoyed every single bit!

This is 'After' the tuna steak was done in the Big Green Egg.
You can't see basil but we felt its aroma.  Yum!

Mom's plate.

Humans forgot to serve Stuffed Scallops.
Da~

We shared of tinny tiny bit of festive food.

Happy Thanisgiving, everyone!

What a fabulous day! A nice walk and then good yum yums. What more can you ask for? Oh, and Joey dog says, "excellent food watching technique." We like roasted vegetables too!

Wow! What a great Thanksgiving you all had! How neat that you saw the salmon traveling upstream (BOO for the people trying to catch them, though) and a raccoon.

Hugs!
