Christmas Fiesta after power outrages.

Our Christmas decoration was ready.
We thought we would have pawfect Christmas.

But the ice storm hit Toronto on the 20th
The freezing rain from the storm knocked down many large trees.
So many branches broken off, damaged parked cars on the streets
 and cut our power supplies.

Not everyone was suffered by the power cut but
we were one of not-so-lucky 300,000 who lost power.

Welcome to Icy World!

Streets and backyards were all frozen!  They turned into skating rinks.

Two live wires had downed on the sidewalks near us.
The road was closed.

It's too slippery and cold.  No thanks for walky!

We had no electricity for three days but our pawrents
tried to make the most of it.

It was -12C (10 F) outside but we had a cozy evening
with brudder in front of the fire place.

This is the first time for all of us to relax here.

Fortunately, the power was back on around 3pm
on the 24th!

*** The Fiesta ***

This is Christmas Day.
Chef Daddy was preparing our dinner.
Yay!

This is our favourite broccoli, cauliflower and Leek Caserole.

"BEFORE"

Then our brodder and mom started making dessert.

We got to sample classic Vanilla Bean We-Scream.

"AFTER"

Can you hear our drooooling its sizzling sound ?

Preparation took a bit of time.  I felt asleep while watching
snow.  Hey, it's White Christmas~!

Done!!

As usual, tons of meals for a small family!  :D :D

(Top) Steamed Veggies (snow peas, baby carrots & Brussels sprouts.)
Roasted Rutabaga with Balsamic Vinegar.

4 more days to Christmas!

2 Weeks ago.  Our tree decoration was in progress.

Good start, Bro!

A day after, it was completed.

"Mommy, the Elf is back!!!!"

Do you remember our Elf Grigio?
 (Link is here!)

After spending a day to keep eye on him, he has to travel back to North Pole
and submit his report to Santa Paw Nick.

A big question.  Is our brudder a good boy or naughty?  hehehe

Then he comes back in the morning and settle in a different spot in the house.

Grigio on his mission.

Today we made Gingerbread Doggie Cookies together.

The recipe is here. This is a healthy recipe for humans, too!

Our bro was a huge help!

They are ready to baked in the oven.

Awwww~, yummy smell!

Where was I, Pinot?
I just wanted to stay away from the oven.  :(

J, M and P!

M is for my sissy Momo...
P is for my big brudder Pinot~

Attack M!!!

After a fun day...

Bro, Grigio will watch your every single move!

Over the weekend, we got tons of snow!

Everything is covered.

"Mommy~, I am going to shovel!!"

He was very excited!

This is a hard work but our brudder did a good job!
Can you believe daddy shovel four times over the weekend?

One happy human.

Not so happy me, Momo!

"Open the door, mom!  Quick!!"
