Canada Day Long weekend!

First of all, Happy Barkday America!
We hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend.

Our long weekend started on Friday, July 1st.
Moose Flo had this simple costume to add red and white in town.

July 1st was a very hot day.  All we wanted to do was supervising our brudder
on the shade in the park.

"Can we play together?!?"

"We'll join you a bit later....."

We made sure if he was ok from distance.  hehehe...

We planned BBQ just like many Canadian folks but
dad couldn't find a very important thing, charcoal!!  :(

Instead, we had this very patriot chips.  bol

Organic chips make mom feel better.
Mom, chips are still....... CHIPS!

"Salsa and chips, anyone?"

We were ready to jump'n'sample....

Then someone innocently reached to our chips!

"I will try red one, mommy..."

(Pinot) "Bro, that's mine!"

"Mommy, I change my mind...."

(Momo) "No... you don't!!"

"First come - first served, right, mommy?!?

"Let us tell you bro, we were here first!"

Next day, dad came home with a big bag of hardwood charcoal.  Yay!

Then we found dad in the kitchen.  WhooOO hoooOOOOO!!!

Dad didn't plan this but doesn't the pizza have red and white toppings?  :D

The toppings are tomato, lots of lots of onion, red long pepper, mini-portabello,
Bocconcini (simply yum!), Parmesan, fresh Basil and dried Oregano (thanks, McCcormick!).

"inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale....."

I had to admit that I am a BBQfobia :(  but I had to hang out near the balcony.
The smell was irresistible!

Almost ready!

Dad put the last topping, smoked salmon on top and let them cook
in The Egg for a few more minutes.
Baby spinach was placed on top before served.

"Done!"

Dinner Time!

"I am about to try daddy's pizza!"

"Same here!  Salmon, please!"

Three cakes for three humans and two dogs....  Mmmmm..
Who gets what and how much?!?

Mom's pick, chocolate cake was eaten by our brudder very quickly.
Mom and we shared this patriot cupcake,
very appropriate selection for doggies. :)

"I got the first bite!"

On Sunday, humans were out until late but dad was up to make pizza again!  :)
Sorry brudder, we had the BEST pizza ever!

It's time for torture.

This time, he had same veggies from the previous night
but he substituted anchovy for smoked salmon, gorgonzola
for Bocconcini.

Pizza was made on two stone pizza plate in the Egg so
the crust wasn't overcooked and it was pawfect.
It was SO tasty and mom forgot to take more pictures.

The last picture before the pizza was all disappeared.
Next day, brudder finished the last slice that we hid from mom kept for him.  :) :)

We forwarded the link of your post to our Dad in the hope that he’ll attempt to duplicate your pizza in his Egg.

Your brudder is a real cutie. Your Dad has indeed cloned himself.

Enjoy the weekend !

Hugs and yips,

OK, now mom is officially hungry! And as a vegetarian who eats fish, she can now prove to dad that we really need a barbecue!
This is such a great post! Fino and I love all the pictures.
Mom says that Momo and Pinot seem much much more well behaved than us... but of course, we disagree!
