Justice for Jess

***** What is going on?? ******

A few days ago, we found ourself in the vet's office. Our vet, Dr. S is a very nice human but

all our vaccinations were up to date. We usually come here when our mom and dad will be away for a little while.......

Wait?

Wait???

Are they going to leave us??

****** Justice for Jess ******
Do you remember this doggie we posted over a year ago?
This is Jess who would be 13 year old today, being loved by many,
was stolen in public place and sadly killed.

Man named Gary Marshman of Bradford, West Yorks, UK was found guilty of theft ('theft' not 'murder?) and he'll be put in jail for 26 weeks. (26 weeks? Not 26 years?)

We don't think this is fair to Jess and his family but at least this terrible man

GARY MARSHMAN was caught and he will serve jail time.

Thank you so much for sharing this news, our friend Ludo!

RIP Jess

Poor Jess :(

My human doesn't trust people who are not kind to animals. It's only a matter of time before the horrible human does another horrible thing. He definitely should go to jail.

My human is studying law and she's horrified by the lack of protection for animals. Even legislation specifically directed at animal protection and welfare actually functions more to protect animal abusers like big commercial farms. Commercial interests always come first. It's really sad that your animal companions are treated as property and so that horrible man was only charged with theft. Here in Australia it's unlikely they would even have to serve jail time. :( It's great that you're bringing attention to the issue.

Hope you don't have to stay at the vet's too long.

Love, Oscar and the gang
