The report from Japan! Part 1. :) :)
OMD, it's already mid-March but it's still chilly here in Toronto.
Today we put a matching winter coat on.
As long as I can get my stick, I am a happy boy! :) First of all...we're sorry for not being able to visit your blog for a very long time! Blame our mom!!! Even if you don't see us as much as before, you're always in our thoughts! Today we want to post some pictures that our dad and mom took while visiting Japan. Here's our human brudder on the flight. The destination ...
Tokyo!
When our pawrents booked the flight over the phone, they were told this was a direct flight between Toronto and Tokyo. Pawerts thought this meant this was a non-stop flight
BUT
they found out that it was NOT when they arrived to the Toronto Airport!!!
The first flight took five hours to Vancouver, then they almost missed the connecting flight due to the wrong info provided by the pilot and almost lost James' stroller at the Vancouver airport.
Anyhow they managed to get on the nest flight to Tokyo (phew!) which took 9 1/2 hours.
James was very good on two flights.

Happy first union with James' grandpawrents!

James greeted to four chihuahua aunties. There are more doggie aunties and uncles and a kitty auntie.

They all shared this bootiful sun dawn from grandpawrents' garden.

The view from 34th floor of the hotel in West Shinjuku.

"I am going to explore Tokyo today!"

The metropolitan government building.

Tokyo skyline from the observatory of the government building. James' grandma was one of the crowds to cheer up walkers of 50K race walk at The Tokyo Olympic Games in 1964. She wonders if James will be the witness of the Olympic games in Tokyo... just like her. Dad and James wandered around busy East Shinjuku. After sun goes down, the town gets busier. "Time for the pawty in this sleepless town!" New rule for humans... This is part of the town that mom used to hang out. ("When was that?") :D
Many believe that it's rather complicated to take trains and subways in Tokyo.
Nope it's not! :)
There are over 30 tiny yakitori (chicken skewers) eateries and bars on this very narrow alleyway called Omoide Yokocho (The Alleyway of your memories.).
Pawrents found these special boots for doggie. :D
(from L to R)
Wan-Wan (means woof woof) Japanese Sake (rice wine)
Wan-Wan Sparkling Wine
Wan-Wan Beer
Wan-Wan energy drink
Wan-Wan English Tea
James was pooped. :) Look at this photo! Our pawrents saw this supermarket!! 13th is James' 7 month barkday!!
"Happy Barkday little brudder!!"
More photos will be posted.
Have a great weekend!!

Hi Momo & Pinot,

Welcome back - I've missed you!

I have also not been blogging much because my humans have been away for a long time and it was been a sad time because Hsin-Yi's father died and Paul's father was in hospital with cancer...and then while they were away, my kitty sister, Lemon, died suddenly at the Airport Pet Hotel! It was an awful time.

But now we are all baack home again and I can visit my blog friends again - and I hope the rest of 2009 will be happier!

I LOVE the photos of your human's trip to Japan - so interesting! Can't wait to see more!

Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane

Oh my goodness James is sooo cute. He is growing so fast.
All those wonderful photos bring back lots of memories of my pinkies trip to Japan last November. They really liked all the lights of Tokyo. They remember Shinjuku (oh did we spell that right). I think they'd really love to go back to Japan some day. It's not so far from Australia. Only 8 hours.

Hiruff Momo and Pinot,
What very good piccures from your pawents holiday to Japan. That is a place that my mum would like to visit most in the world.

Your little brudder is getting bigger now, happy 7 month barkday to him. He was a very good boy to be good on such long flights.

Now that I see your brudder James looks more like your Daddy. Only his cuteness looks like you. I want to him wet licks, a lot of it.
What a fun trip to Tokyo, the picture of your Grandparents with James is priceless.
My mom loves your family very much, she wishes her daughter would be married someday soon and has a nice family like yours.

I cannot believe how big your brother is getting? Does he weigh more than you now?

What incredible pictures - thank you so much for sharing them with us - it was nice to get a "taste" of life in Japan - although I would like a taste of one of those chicken skewers right now.

Don't forget to save some time for my parents - they will be in Toronto on June 7th and 8th (sunday and monday).

Sounds like Baby James got hauled all over Tokyo & had a good time! His grandma & grandpa look so happy to finally meet him. Can't wait to see more photos!

I DO have to say that James is getting cuter as he gets older. I totally see the family resemblance since his older sissy (you) and older brother (Pinot) are bootifully cute!

Goober love & smooches,
Stanley
